REPORTS-CHAINWEBSITE
This special analysis examines a variety of issues related to restaurant chain Web site traffic and usage. This is an important issue because many quick-service restaurant users are Internet users. Additionally, restaurant companies are always looking for ways to capitalize on the Internet’s reach and its potential to streamline ordering (at pizza restaurants in particular) and deliver menu and location information, advertising and promotional messages.
The results of this survey generally point to underutilization of restaurant chain Web sites by fast-food customers despite strong Internet usage. In fact, many current Internet users doubt their restaurant Web site usage will increase in the year ahead.
Over the period October-December 2005, Sandelman & Associates conducted telephone interviews with a nationally representative sample of 600 respondents who purchase food from fast-food and pizza restaurants at least once a month. In addition to basic QSR and Internet usage measures, respondents were asked a series of questions about their behavior related to restaurant chain Web sites.
The report includes a PowerPoint presentation of the findings with a bullet-point summary of each key measure as well as an Executive Summary. It also includes Excel tables that detail all key data for each measure broken out by heaviness of QSR usage, chain types patronized in the past month, gender and age.
This report can either be downloaded as PDF files or can be shipped in a spiral bound format.
