National Fast-Food Trends

SKU REPORTS-QTNATANNUAL2008

Quick-service restaurant chain marketing professionals who need to gain a better understanding of the trends that drive this dynamic industry turn to the Quick-Service Restaurants National Annual Report. That’s because it helps them to identify potential areas to build business. It also is used by foodservice suppliers to identify areas in which they can best help specific chains address the important issues related to their specific competitive situation. This report examines 2008 with five-year trends.

In addition to tracking over 75 markets annually, Sandelman & Associates’ National Quick-Track Study is fielded with a nationally representative sample of 2,400 fast-food users via telephone. These users provide information about their awareness and usage of fast-food chains, an overall rating for each tracked chain they have patronized in the past three months, details about their last purchase occasion at a specific fast-food restaurant, demographic information and more.

Presented in PowerPoint format with more than 80 slides featuring easy-to-read charts and bullet-point synopses and insights, the report provides details on patronage patterns for several QSR segments, including heaviness of category usage, meal daypart usage, service type usage and key demographic segments. Last purchase occasion profiles include information about items eaten, daypart and service mode of the occasion, party size, amount spent, use of promotions and sources of promotion awareness. Additionally, the report presents a review of the importance of 15 key attributes used in the selection of a QSR. Specific chain information is included for 23 major chains. Demographic profiles are provided for all users of key segments as well as for heavy users of each segment.

This report can be downloaded as a PowerPoint file or can be shipped in a spiral bound format.
