National Hispanic Fast-Food Trends 2009

SKU REPORTS-QTNATANNUALHISP2009

The Hispanic population continues to grow in the United States, presenting a major opportunity for fast-food restaurants. The National Hispanic Fast-Food Trends report provides marketers insights into the Hispanic QSR market to help them better attract and retain Hispanic users. The report includes five-year trends.

In addition to tracking major Hispanic markets like Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago and Atlanta, Sandelman & Associates conducts telephone interviews on a continuous basis with a nationally representative annual sample of 1,600 Spanish-speaking fast-food users in its Quick-Track Hispanic syndicated research program. These users provide information about their awareness and usage of fast-food chains, an overall rating for each tracked chain they have patronized in the past three months, details about their last purchase occasion at a specific fast-food restaurant, demographic information and more.

Presented in PowerPoint format, the report provides details on patronage patterns for several QSR segments, including heavy category users, daypart and service type usage and key demographic segments. Last purchase occasion profiles include information about items eaten, daypart and service mode of the occasion, party size, amount spent, promotion use and sources of promotion awareness. Additionally, the report presents a review of the importance of 15 key attributes used in the selection of a QSR. Specific chain information is included for 24 major chains. Demographic profiles are provided for all users of key segments as well as for heavy users of each segment.
